Аn international seminar on the theme: “Kazakhstan heritage of Islamic manuscripts: study-research, conservation, restoration and training of specialists”

2018 June 20 RSU “National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books” of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Research Center for Religious Studies of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture Studies at the Organization of Islamic (IRCICA) jointly conducted an international seminar on the theme: “Kazakhstan heritage of Islamic manuscripts: study-research, conservation, restoration and training of specialists”.

The aim of the seminar is to discuss the issues of analyzing the status of the heritage of Islamic manuscripts preserved in Kazakhstan, their research, systematization, cataloging, popularization and introduction into scientific circulation, storage and restoration. The seminar held at the international level offers specialists a direction on these issues and raising their professional qualifications. In Kazakhstan, this topic was raised for the first time and specialists working in this industry who participated in the seminar, who came from different regions of Kazakhstan and abroad, shared their views.

Responsible Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ualiev Kuatjan Serikkazievich, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azilkhanov Marat Almasovich, Director General of the Islamic Studies, Arts and Culture Research Center of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (IRCICA ) Halit Ehren.

During the event, the director of the Institute of Oriental Studies named. R.B. Suleimenova KN MES RK Derbisali Absattar Bagysbaevich, expert of the IRCICA organization for Central Asia, Dr.Sc. Muminov Ashirbek Kurbanovich, Professor of the International Kazakh-Turkish University. KA Yasavi Kenzhetai Dosai, Director of the Research Center for Religious Studies of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ainur Әbdіrәsіlқzyzy and many other specialists and scholars.

During the seminar, Director of the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books Saduov Asylkhan Zhumabayevich and Director General of the Center for Islamic History, Arts and Culture Studies at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (IRCICA) Halit Eren signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
