The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, ruled that the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression is celebrated on May 30 – June 1. In the past, Kazakhstanis did not approve of violence. That day, we remember those who were killed in the years of collectivism, political repression, deportations. Today, the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books sent to the Japanese people copies of archival materials about the Japanese, who were in a special regime in Kazakhstan. We hope that this will serve as a basis for strengthening confidence between peoples and further development of cooperation between the two countries!
